Just thought I'd let everyone know I'm moving to my new flat next week. Yay! Well I've been pretty buusy moving stuff in and will be during this week, but I'll be moved in by Friday. Well my flat is pretty big and has 1 bedroom. It's got a telephone socket already there and there's one of the new erial sockets ffor when the tv's switch over to the digital signal later in the year. I got carpets about 2 weeks ago and they're a dark brown color with flecks in. I'm going to get some curtain poles and net curtains during the week and my next door neighbor's giving me some curtains that he got but now doesn't need.

I'm still going to live in Hereford. I'm going to try and get a bigger taxi tomorrow to help me move stuff, seeing as none of the staff from my old place will be around to help. I was kind of hoping to save myself nearly 14£ of taxi fares, but obviosuly not.
Anyway, now I've just got to decide whether I want to have a gas or electric cooker. I think I'll stick with electric actually because I haven't used gas for ages.

Back to the original topic, Congratulations, Harmony. Do you think you'll have new mobility issues although you/re in the same town?

Well I'll definitely have a bit of mobility to do, which we're hoping to start on Wednesday as I've now got a double session with lunch in the middle. My flat is going to be much further away from college, so they're going to have a heart attack when they see my taxi receipts! But this time I'm, definitely, going to get on the free bus journey to town and then onto 5 minutes from college and I've got no excuse this time because I'm staying there.

Whoa!! Be nice, moving out on your own can really be overwhelming! I was totally freaked out, to the point I had nausea for the first Monday I was out on my own. Everything hits you like a ton of bricks. Can I pay the bills, keep a household by myself, get to/from work or school okay? Will have issues with the neighbors? Harmony, are you able to manage your finances, cook, clean, and manage a household? I would assume so. Going to college/university and living by yourself can really be a balancing act. When I first moved out, I thought I'd cook dinner every night. It didn't take long, before I realized this was easier said than done. Plus, all the things you always took for granted while living at home, like garbage bags, light bulbs, condiments and toiletpaper to name a few, are now your responsibility. I live fine as a bachelorette, but it took some adjusting. Good luck with your move and getting settled in. ,
